Add-on Feature

Messages is an add-on feature that enables internal communication between dispatchers and drivers through order-specific chats and group messaging.

⚠️ Note: This feature is not included in the standard license. Please contact your account manager to enable it.

Order-Specific Messages

Access Order Messages

Navigate to order communication

  1. Open the order details page
  2. Scroll to the Messages section
  3. View existing conversation or start new thread

Send Messages

Create new messages

  • Type message in the input field
  • Press enter or click send
  • Message immediately delivered to assigned driver
  • Driver receives push notification on mobile app

View Message History

Track communication

  • Complete conversation history visible
  • Timestamps for each message
  • Sender identification (dispatcher/driver)
  • Access from order details or Messages sidebar

Communication Rules

  • Dispatchers can initiate order conversations
  • Drivers can only reply to existing conversations
  • All messages are tied to specific orders for traceability
  • Messages persist in order history for future reference

Group Messaging

Create Group Chat

Set up team communication channels

  1. Open Messages section in sidebar
  2. Click plus icon next to “All” tab under Group Messages
  3. Select users to invite (dispatchers and/or drivers)
  4. Name the group for easy identification

Manage Groups

Access and organize group conversations

  • View all groups you’re part of
  • Click group name to open conversation
  • Send messages visible to all members
  • Real-time notifications to all participants

Configure group properties

Click the information icon to:

  • View complete member list
  • Add or remove participants
  • Rename the group
  • Archive inactive groups

Group Management Rules

  • Only dispatchers can create new groups
  • Both dispatchers and drivers can participate in conversations
  • All members receive push notifications for new messages
  • Groups persist until manually archived

  • Keep messages concise and relevant

  • Create groups for recurring team coordination

Notification Management

  • Ensure drivers have notifications enabled
