Price Calculator
The Price calculator gives you a price estimate for a job without creating an order. Enter where the goods go from and to, what to price with and what is being sent, and the price appears as soon as everything needed is filled in. Use it to answer “what would this cost?” on the phone, then copy the result as a quote.
When it’s available: the Price calculator is in the navigation menu for organizations that have order pricing turned on. An Admin turns this on under Settings → Pricing → Pricing options with Enable order pricing. See Settings → Pricing.
How to open the Price calculator
Click Price calculator in the navigation menu, below Create new order and Search for order. The calculator opens in a window on top of the page you’re on.
How to get a price
The calculator has three sections.
Route
- In From, type an address or the name of a saved location and pick it from the list.
- Do the same in To.
Click Swap from and to to reverse the direction.
The pickup and delivery need a postal code to be priced. If a place has none, the field shows a warning. Pick a street address with a number instead.
Price and service
- In Price with, pick a price list or a customer. If you pick a customer, the calculator uses that customer’s prices.
- In Service, pick the order type.
Cargo
- Pick a cargo type: Bag, Box, Pallet or Custom. A type fills in a typical weight and size, which you can change.
- Enter the number of Colli and the Weight each. You can enter the Total weight instead, and the calculator works out the other one.
- Optionally, fill in the Size per colli: Length, Width and Height.
There’s no Calculate button. Until the price can be calculated, a checklist shows what’s still missing, for example Choose a service. Click an item to jump to that field. Once everything is in, the price updates by itself whenever you change something.
How to read the result
- Estimated price shows the price including VAT and, below it, the price excluding VAT.
- Price breakdown lists the price lines, the subtotal excluding VAT, the VAT and the total including VAT.
- Freight level, Zones and Priced with show what the price is based on.
- A map shows the route with its distance and driving time. Click Expand map to see it larger.
The result is an estimate from today’s prices. The invoice is final, and time spent at pickup and delivery isn’t included.
When there’s no price
If the job can’t be priced, a card explains why and what to do, for example:
- This customer has no prices — click Use a price list to pick a price list instead.
- Pickup is outside the zones or Delivery is outside the zones.
- Couldn’t reach the price service — your input is kept. Click Try again.
How to copy a quote
Click Copy quote to copy the price, the route, the cargo and the service as text you can paste into an email or chat. Copy quote works only when a price is showing.
Recent quotes and clearing the form
- Recent quotes keeps up to 20 of your latest priced quotes. A quote is added when you copy it, clear the form or close the calculator. Pick one to fill in the form again; it’s priced again with today’s prices.
- Clear empties the form. Click Undo in the message that appears if you cleared it by mistake.
When you close the calculator and open it again, your last input is still there.
Recent quotes and your last input are stored in this browser only. They aren’t shared with your colleagues or your other devices.
