What’s New — Mobile App

A plain-language summary of the improvements we’ve released in the Zendera driver app, newest first.

September 2026

• A new iPhone app. The iPhone app now has the same screens and features as the Android app. It needs iOS 16 or later.
• Choose your navigation app. Zendera Maps has been retired. Pick Google Maps, Sygic Car Maps or Sygic Truck Maps under More settings → Navigation — on iPhone you can also pick Apple Maps, which is the default there.
• Signing works smoothly again. The signature screen turns sideways again, a clear box shows where to sign, and what’s in the box is exactly what gets saved.
• Deliveries finish cleanly. Completing a stop no longer gets stuck while uploading the proof of delivery.
• Notification taps go to Messages. Tapping a chat notification now opens the Messages tab.
• Scan the parcel you aim at. The camera only reads barcodes inside the square, and a scanned package no longer un-ticks itself.
• Clearer login error. If your account isn’t set up as a driver, the app now says so and tells you to ask your dispatcher, instead of just saying the login failed.
• Smaller fixes. No more error on the map after your last stop. Tapping a contact’s phone number or email opens your phone or mail app. View-only photos have a Close button. Saving a plain note takes you back to the stop. The app tells you if a note’s photos or signature didn’t upload. You can copy the customer’s instructions. Total commission on Completed orders shows the right total.
• Uses less mobile data. The app no longer reconnects over and over when the connection keeps dropping.

August 2026

These changes came to the Android app. The iPhone app got the same screens in September.

• Clear location notice. Before asking for location access, the app explains why it needs your location. Your location is only collected while you’re online, and the app no longer asks for background location access.
• Navigate to the parking spot. When a stop has a parking address, navigation now takes you there.
• Scans confirm right away. A scanned package is ticked off immediately, and scanning it again tells you it’s already scanned.
• Cargo carriers save only on Done. Going back no longer saves your counts, and counts outside the limits need a comment before you can save.
• “No one there” asks about returns. You now have to answer Create return order? before saving a No one there note.
• Offline completions don’t get stuck. A stop completed without internet is still sent when you reopen the app, even if the app was force-closed in the meantime.
• Editing an address no longer logs you out.
• Photo fixes. Attaching a photo in an order chat works again, the Add image button on the proof-of-delivery preview works, and proof-of-delivery photos are smaller so they upload faster.
• Smaller fixes. The login screen picks your country code from your SIM card. Check all packages no longer brings back packages you removed. Stop markers are no longer hidden under the route line. After a note that changes a stop, you land on your upcoming orders. Status-bar icons are easier to read, and error messages are clearer.

July 2026

• Clearer signature screen. The proof-of-delivery signature now shows which order is being received right at the top, so the person signing can see what they’re confirming.
• Photos survive interruptions. A photo you’ve just taken is no longer lost if a call comes in or the app is put in the background before you confirm it.
• Smoother address entry. The address picker now keeps the region you entered and closes properly when you tap Done without changing anything.
• Steadier live updates. A single bad update from the server no longer stops the app from receiving the ones after it.
• More of the app in your language. The settings screen is now translated into Norwegian, Danish and Icelandic.
• Fewer permissions to grant. The app no longer asks for storage access it doesn’t need.

June 2026

• Stops stay up to date. Your stop list and next stop now refresh when you return to the app, so you’re always looking at the latest.
• Clearer seen and unseen stops. Opening a stop now marks it as seen.
• Steadier under the hood. Reliability improvements to how the app keeps track of your driver session.

May 2026

• More reliable photos. Proof-of-delivery and document photos now upload more dependably.
• Your language stays set. Fixed an issue where the app’s language could reset after a restart on some phones.
• Scanning across shared packages. Scans are remembered per stop for packages shared across multiple orders, so you never lose your progress.
• Smarter trip tracking. Improved background tracking to better tell driving apart from stops.

April 2026

• Retake delivery photos. Retake or replace a proof-of-delivery photo if the first one didn’t come out right.
• Edits are kept. Changes on the photo preview screen (like rotate or delete) are saved when you go back, instead of being lost.
• Always the latest image. Proof-of-delivery photos always show the most recent version.

March 2026

• More reliable scanning. Improved barcode scanning.

February 2026

• More accurate tracking. Steadier, more accurate location tracking during deliveries.

January 2026

• Manage packages on a stop. Add a package, edit its quantity and dimensions, or remove one — right from the stop.

December 2025

• A more stable app. Fixed a crash that could happen with large amounts of data, and made background tracking start more reliably.
