Settings — Routing & scheduling
Permission: Admin only.
The Planning group in Settings has two sections: Routing, which controls how the optimizer plans, and Schedule details, which lists your schedule’s intervals.

Routing
Settings → Planning → Routing
Routing only appears if your organization uses the route optimizer.
Optimizer settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Auto balancing | When on, the system tries to balance orders equally across all drivers. When off, it optimizes to use as few vehicles as possible. |
| Allow late stops | A stop is late when its latest time isn’t met. If late stops aren’t allowed, a stop isn’t served when the driver is running late — it must then be dispatched manually or moved to another day. The optimizer tries to minimize late stops either way. |
| Allow soft ending on driver work hours | Lets drivers fulfil orders after their work hours (and overtime, if applicable) when needed. |
| When to dispatch stops | How many minutes before the driver has to leave for a stop the stop appears in the driver’s app. |
| Stops closer than | A distance in meters: stops this close together are ones you usually group and serve from the same parking space. |
| Days to plan ahead | How many days ahead the optimizer plans (1–14). Orders further ahead than this aren’t planned immediately. |
| Green+ | When on, the optimizer takes vehicles’ emission data into account and prioritizes vehicles with lower emissions. |
Time on location
Use estimated time on location — predicts how long the next visit to a location will take, based on previous visits. Predictions start after five visits to a location. You can also turn the prediction off or on for each location individually.
How to change routing settings
- Open Settings → Planning → Routing.
- Change the toggles and sliders you need.
- Click Save changes at the top right.
Changes here affect every future plan the optimizer produces. After changing Routing settings, watch the next day’s plan to confirm the effect matches what you expected.
Schedule details
Settings → Planning → Schedule details
Schedule details shows your organization’s schedule and its intervals.
- The Schedule card at the top shows the schedule’s Zone area and Freight level, each linking to its page under Pricing.
- The table lists every interval with its Interval ID, From-to zones, Freight levels, Order types, Total available slots, Booked slots, Booked before, Pickup earliest, Pickup latest, Delivery earliest and Delivery latest. Use Search intervals to filter the list.
How to edit an interval
- Click the interval’s row. The Edit interval panel opens.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save, or Cancel to close without saving.
